ABOUT US
Who are we?
Babes in The Wood is a purpose built crèche just off the Park West complex. We are an independent, family run crèche, delivering a high standard in care and early year’s education to children up to 7 years.
We are fully compliant with TUSLA and HSE regulations. We are also members of Early Childhood Ireland.
The Creche's new management and our warm and dedicated staff strive to provide excellent care to all children under our care.

Staff:
All staff have up to date paediatric first aid certificates and attend training in health and safety. Employees hold FETAC 5 and 6 qualifications. The ownerof the setting holds FETAC level 9 certification and has many years of childcare experience.
We believe that training and development help to keep essential qualifications up to date, whilst ensuring the relevance in evolution of the early year’s education sector.
Our staff are dedicated and have a wealth of experience to draw on. The girls are friendly, warm and welcoming. They will take their time to provide parents with information on child's daily activities as well as concerns if any arise.

We operate the ECCE playschool and also accept children on CETS scheme. We accept children registered through NCS scheme, all parents are advised to register through the platform.
We close on public/bank holidays and during Christmas. For more information in relation to opening and closing details please refer to the manager.
Settling:
Babes in the Wood Creche is proud to announce that our service has developed and implemented our own Child Safeguarding Statement.
Our staff working with children are compliant and fully trained to provide quality childcare with child protection and welfare as our principles
At Babes In The Wood Creche we settle children in by introducing them over a period of days to the crèche before they start with us. During this time we aim to build a bond and trust with the child settling and use this time to get to know not only the child but also the parents and their family and their routine from home.
We are very keen on communication between the settling and home and have numerous ways of staying in touch with parents and families. Most importantly we operate an open door policy and we welcome parents calling at any time of the day should they need to check on their little one, have a question, query or concern.

Our creche cooperates with Child Diary, the learning journal where parents can track their own children activities throughout the day. It gives parents an instant access to information on their children play, meals and other activities.
